Team Limerick Clean-Up (TLC) is one of the most inspiring and impactful community initiatives to ever take place in Limerick. Since its launch in 2015, TLC has grown to become Ireland’s largest one-day clean-up event, not just a massive undertaking in Limerick City and County but a symbol of community spirit and environmental care. The campaign encourages people to take pride in their local areas by coming together to clean up and improve their surroundings.

Each year on Good Friday, close to 20,000 volunteers of all ages and backgrounds take part in TLC. These dedicated individuals, armed with gloves, litter pickers, and bags, work tirelessly to collect litter and tidy up streets, parks, and neighborhoods across the city and county. Their collective efforts not only enhance the visual appeal of Limerick but also promote environmental responsibility and sustainability.

TLC was founded by a group of visionaries, including JP McManus, Paul O’Connell, and Helen O’Donnell, and is led by Limerick City and County Council. Their leadership and passion have been instrumental in making TLC a huge success and a cherished event for the people of Limerick.

This year, the tradition continues with TLC7 on Good Friday, 15th April 2022. Volunteers of all ages are encouraged to sign up via www.teamlimerickcleanup.ie. Whether you’re an individual, family, or group, this is your chance to contribute to a cleaner, greener Limerick.

Join VIOTAS in the effort to ‘Dare to be Green’ and make a real difference for your community. Together, we can uphold Limerick’s legacy of teamwork, care, and environmental stewardship. Let’s ensure the success of TLC7 and take another step toward a cleaner, brighter future for all.
